Update:

I haven’t forgotten you guys!!!

I currently have a demo recorded of the Barber Small Fry. I don’t love it, but its not bad. But then I realized- it doesn’t do the Small Fry justice!

See, I recorded it in a shootout with the Zendrive for a comparison. And it did well, yes. But thats not where it excels at! I have started to try to record another of the Small Fry at my favorite settings so you can really grasp the flavor of this beast.

Besides that, this summer is busy. Life is busy, right? I am more relaxed, but still working in clinic and I have boards scheduled for August. Cram time again!

Anyway, look forward to some more posts very soon. Hopefully I can pull this Small Fry one off rather quickly!

  1. Talk about a bust summer…!!! Hello Lariooooo. I’ve fallen in love and I want the world to know the name of my 2 special ladies: Camille and Lucy. Lucy is a Koa Special Telecaster whose 22-fret rosewood fingerboard neck was just replaced by a 21-fret maple neck with jumbo frets. This one came with Seymours from the factory and she’s alright…. so far. Camille –on the other hand– has shown me it’s never too late to learn new tricks –even for an old dog like me. It so happens thaht I decided to adventure with a quarter pund neck pup and a little ‘59 on the bridge (both SDs). This is the combination that will take me straight to heavens. This little ‘59 is a single pickup sized humbucker that gives you that warm… almost nasal sound when overdriving the tubes. I’ve been playing lead for Freddy Rodriguez (Integrity Productions) fopr the last 2 months and he likes to rock for Jesus. Needless to say little Camille is having the time of her life and I feel like a million bucks playing her. So all of you out there who love the playability and looks of the Tele, but don’t necessarilly go for the “twangy” screech of the bruidge pup, give this little ‘59 a chance and you’ll be rockin’ like a 15 year-old. God Bless y’all and you take good care of yourself little brother. We’ll be back!!!!!
